What is your background, Fredrik?

“Before joining Calamo, I worked in auditing, as a controller at a finance company, and as a financial manager at a sales company.”

“We handle accounting, payments, and budgeting, and we report to our owners. Additionally, we perform various analyses to track how the business is performing.”

Which aspects of your education have you found most useful in your role at Calamo?

“Economics courses tend to be quite broad, but I’ve found courses in accounting and financial management particularly beneficial.”

What does a typical day at Calamo look like for you?

“My days are quite varied. For instance, at the beginning of the month, we focus on preparing the monthly accounts. Beyond that, my work varies depending on different follow-ups and ongoing financial tasks, based on what’s happening within the company.”

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

“The most rewarding aspect is when we provide analyses that offer insights to help the company become more efficient and profitable.”
